RAD CLINICAL DIRECTOR OFFERS INSIGHT TO RADIOGRAPHY PROGRAM
Las Vegas – Pima Medical Institute Hires Diane Kirkendall As Radiography Clinical Director
Pima Medical Institute, 3333 E. Flamingo Road in Las Vegas announced that Diane Kirkendall has joined the staff as Radiography Clinical Director. Kirkendall has served as a Radiologic Technologist for many years at various hospital and medical centers in the west.
“We have a strong Radiography program here at Pima Medical Institute,” said Babbette Burcaw, campus director for the Las Vegas medical career college. “Diane’s enthusiasm, expertise and experience will help us meet the nation’s need for qualified professionals in this rapidly-growing field.”
Radiography is one of the Top 20 career fields that will be most in demand through 2010 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Due to the expanding population of the elderly, as well as the increased use of innovative medical technology for intensive diagnosis and treatment, the demand for these jobs is expected to increase for 50 years.
The 96-week Radiography program includes 2800 hours of training. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination for certification.
The Las Vegas campus also offers programs for Dental Assistant; Medical Assistant; Medical Administrative Assistant; Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician and Veterinary Assistant.
