PROMOTING KID’S HEALTH AND SAFETY FROM HEAD TO TOE
Chula Vista, CA – Pima Medical Institute Hosts Children’s Health Fair Feb. 28th

The entire campus of Pima Medical Institute, 780 Bay Blvd, Suite 101 in Chula Vista will be promoting kid’s health and safety from head to toe, at their free Children’s Health Fair, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 28th. Each of the campus’ programs will be highlighted, with PMI students presenting educational topics, as well as engaging the youth in related activities.

Children can learn about nutrition, healthy snacks and vitamins from the Medical Assistant students, Dental Assistant students will be teach kids proper brushing techniques and play a dental ring toss game, and Veterinary Assistants will discuss and demonstrate the importance of pet dental health. Radiography students will show the children x-rays and the x-ray equipment, as well as emphasize skateboard and roller blade safety. Respiratory Therapy students will talk about asthma, as well as the importance of not smoking, while Pharmacy Assistant students will speak about prescription safety, plants and poisonings. Medical Assistant students will provide information about nutrition, saying no to strangers, as well doing face painting and helping the children create sun visors and color pictures. The Children’s Hospital 10Mobile van will also be at the campus from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
